Man killed over Rs 300, three arrested

Three men were arrested today on the charge of killing a friend here after he refused to pay Rs 300 lost over a game of carom.

On February 27, the accused mercilessly beat to death Prakash Suryawanshi alias Munna after he refused to pay the money betted during a carom game, Superintendent of Police O P Tripathi said.

The accused were identified as Pradeep Suryawanshi (24), his brother Deepak Suryawanshi (30) and Praveen Solanki (19).

They beat Prakash with a pipe and later dumped him at his house where he died. Then they absconded.

Acting on a tip-off, police traced and nabbed them today.
 

All the three confessed to the crime during the questioning, police claimed.
