A 32 year-old man was killed and two
others of his family injured when his father, an ex-serviceman, today opened fire in Kanjha village following a row over the former's drinking habit.
Prem Prakash Dubey opened fire on his son Manish after he created a ruckus in an inebriated condition, ASP, Sunil Singh said.
Dubey was upset with Manish's alcohol addiction and had objected to his drinking.
Manish's sister-in-law and aunt, who rushed to save him, were also injured in the incident, the ASP said, adding that the man succumbed to injuries while being rushed to Varanasi hospital.
The injured were admitted to district hospital here, the ASP added.
