Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today paid rich tributes to three soldiers who laid down their lives while foiling an infiltration bid by militants along the Line of Control in Kupwara district.
"The chief minister praised the valour and bravery of the slain soldiers," an official spokesman said.
He said Mehbooba conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the families of slain soldiers.
Three soldiers laid down their lives while battling a group of heavily-armed militants in the Naugam sector of Kupwara district in an operation spanning two days and which ended in elimination of four ultras.
