Minor girl rapeds in UP

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenager, who is her relative, in Phardhan area here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when the girl was alone in her house and 19-year-old Vipal, who lives in the neighbourhood, raped her, they said.

The victim is a relative of the accused, they said.

The incident came to light when the victim told her parents about it.

Police said the accused has been detained and is being interrogated.
