Minor raped by neighbour in Raj

A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth from her neighbourhood in Shivbadi area in the district, police said today.

The accused, identified as Sanjay, a college student, forcibly took the 16-year-old girl to his house on Thursday night and raped her, they said.

Later, the victim informed her family members about the incident next morning following which they lodged an FIR against Sanjay.

The accused was arrested yesterday while the further probes are on, police added.
