Mizoram legislative assembly today paid rich tributes to former members Zosiama Pachuau and C. Lalruata and also Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha Jayaram.
House leader Lal Thanhawla made obituary reference to the three departed leaders followed by condolence speeches from Deputy leader of the Opposition K. Sangthuama and three other members.
Pachuau was the former Education Minister for a term since 1993 while Lalruata was one of the youngest legislators elected in 1972 at the age of 27.
One minute silence was observed in the legislature as a mark of respect for the departed leaders.
