MP: 3 held for snatching chains in Tikamgarh

Three persons from Uttar Pradesh have been arrested for allegedly snatching chains in the district for over one year, police said today.

"We rounded up Kanhai Raikwar, Puspendra Ahirwar last night and after quizzing them nabbed Veer Singh today", District Superintendent of Police Nimish Agrawal said.

He said the trio hailing from Lalitpur district in Uttar Pradesh had admitted that they snatched chains of women since the last 18 months and were involved in 8 such incidents.

The senior officer said police have recovered Rs 28,000 cash, 6 gold chains and three motorbikes from the accused.
