The husband of a mukhia was shot dead by suspected activists of ultra outfit 'People's Liberation Front of India' (PLFI) at Gudri village in West Singhbhum district, police today said.
A group of ultras arrived in the village last night and shot dead Sebian Buru, the husband of Tomdel Panchayat Mukhia, said Superintendent of Police, Anish Gupta.
On being informed about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body this morning.

The SP said Buru was allegedly a Maoists supporter in the past and was also involved in collection of levy.
We do not rule out this as possible reason behind the killing of Buru but police was investigating the case in all possible angles, the SP added.
