One ANF personnel injured in Naxal firing

An Anti-Naxal Force personnel was today injured in firing by a group of Maoists during a combing operation in the district, police said.

The personnel was part of a 15 member ANF team, which was fired on from a Naxal camp in an estate here, they said.

The team returned fire, but before they could approach the camp, the 10-member Naxal cadre escaped into core forest region nearby, they added.
