One person was killed and 11 others were today injured in road accidents in Lakhisarai and Jehanabad districts of Bihar, police officials said.
A 43 year-old man was killed and six others were injured when a jeep carrying them lost control and overturned on NH-80 near Mankata village in Lakhisarai district, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjay Kumar said.
The deceased was identified as Shambhu Sah, he said,
The injured persons were admitted to Sadar hospital in neighbouring Munger district.
In Jehanabad district, five persons were injured as an autorickshaw in which they were travelling lost control and overturned near Ner village, Makhdumpur police station in-charge Ashutosh Kumar said.
The injured persons have been admitted to referral hospital where the condition of one of them was stated to be critical, he said.
