The Orissa High Court today issued notices to the Centre, state and Posco to file their counters within two weeks on a batch of PILs filed by the residents of Gobindpur village in Jagatsinghpur district.
A division bench of Chief Justice C Nagappan and Justice Indrajit Mohanti after holding preliminary analogous hearings on the PILs issued the notices.
The petitioners alleged that the forest and environment clearances granted to Posco were done in a fraudulent manner bypassing the settlement records from 1958 to 1962.
The matter would come up for hearing after two weeks.
