Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have a solitary plea for cinema-goers and asked them to watch their comedy "Sisters", not "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

The cast of "Sisters" lobbied on behalf of their comedy on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" - and Poehler was particularly forceful, reported Digital Spy.

"I don't care about Star Wars, I never did," Poehler humorously quipped at one point.

Fey and Poehler are doing their part to promote Sisters by hosting "Saturday Night Live"- with musical guests Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

"Sisters" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" are both playing now in US and UK cinemas.
