In a major crackdown on country-made liquor, Jodhpur police destroyed over 1000 litres of 'wash', a product used in making alcohol, and arrested 13 persons, including 4 women, from Nat Basti at Mahuriya.
The operation, which was launched at the crack of dawn, also saw arrest of 7 standing warrantees, police said.
"Besides, country-made liquor, searching for standing warrantees was also a major target of this operation," ACP Durg Singh Rajpurohit said.
He said the number of those arrested could swell further, following interrogation.
The operation was conducted in the morning to avoid any resistance from the locals, the ACP said.
