Police constable's son shot dead

A 32-year-old son of a police constable has been shot dead by some unidentified persons in Kotwali area, a senior police officer said here today.

The victim, identified as Satyendra Singh, was shot at by unidentified motorcycle-borne persons near Meera Bhawan locality late last night, Superintendent of Police Anant Dev Singh said.

He was rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared him dead.

On the complaint of Satyendra's father Satrughan Singh, who is a police constable, an FIR had been lodged, the SP said.
