Punjab to get two new courts

Punjab will have new courts, one in Moga and the other in Faridkot with the High Court issuing a notification in this regard today.

The Acting Chief Justice and Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court have ordered creation of two new courts in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 read with sub-section (1) of section 31 of the Punjab Courts Act, 1918 as amended up to date, an official spokesman said.

The HC notified the new courts at Baghapurana and Jaito in Punjab.

The notification has asked to specify the place of sitting of the Court of Additional Civil Judge (SD)/Civil Judge (JD), Baghapurana on account of creation of new Court for the area comprising Baghapurana Sub-Division (falling in Sessions Division Moga) at Baghapurana, the spokesman said.
 

Similarly, a notification has also been issued to specify the place of sitting of the Court of Additional Civil Judge (SD)/Civil Judge (JD), Jaitu on account of creation of new Court for the area comprising Jaitu Sub-Division (falling in Sessions Division Faridkot) at Jaitu.
