Temperatures in Uttar Pradesh today saw a slight decline following rain and thundershowers in several parts since yesterday.
According to the Met department, Lalganj, Sahaganj, Sultanpur and Bisauli received 4 cm of rain each while Meerut, Rampur and Shahjahanpur received 2 cm of rain each. Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Agra, Meerut, Puranpur and Deoband received 1 cm of rain each.
Day temperatures fell in Faizabad, Bareilly, Moradabad, Agra, Meerut, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi and Allahabad divisions. It changed a little in the remaining divisions.
The temperature was largely below normal in Gorakhpur, Faizabad, Lucknow and Meerut divisions, markedly below normal in Kanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad and Agra divisions and below normal in Allahabad and Jhansi divisions.
The maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded at Jhansi.
The Met Department has forecast thunderstorm accompanied with squall at isolated places over the state tomorrow.
