Heavy showers occurred in many parts of Rajasthan today with Sawaimadhopur and Baseri recording the maximum rainfall in the desert state at 7 cm each.
Met office here said that Merta received 6 cm rainfall, followed by Pishangan, Bardi, Pipalda, Nokha 5 cm each, and Rajakhera, Tizara, Nagarport and Nainwa 4 cm each respectively.
One to three cms of rainfall occurred in rest of the state, including Jaipur, Ajmer, Vansasthali, and Churu.
South west monsoon will get weak over the state in the next 48 hours as its trough is moving towards Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, a forecast said.
