Rajasthan government has sought a compensation of Rs 1,375.45 crore for crops destroyed due to bad weather in seven districts.
Meeting a delegation from Delhi on disaster management, state Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria asked it to take stock of the situation of flood-affected districts and present a report to the Centre for providing immediate relief to the affected farmers.
The delegation is on a visit to the affected districts including Baran, Bhilwara, Pali, Chhittorgarh, Rajsmand, Pratapgarh and Udaipur where heavy rains between June 15 and June 22 last year had destroyed crops, roads and livestocks.
