Ramesh Narayan to present `Sangeet Samarpan'

The vocal recital, in accordance with the 'samyachakra of ragas,' would be held at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) at Pune, Narayan told reporters here.
Narayan, a disciple of Pandit Jasraj, had already achieved international acclaim by rendering a world record breaking 30 hour-long vocal recital of Hindustani music at the Soorya international music festival here in 1994.
'Sangeet Samarpan-2013' is dedicated to the 'Paramagurus' and legends of the past and present of Indian and world music as well as other art forms, world literature, science and social reform, he said.
Artistes and dignitaries from all over the world would be invited to attend the historic event to be inaugurated by Pandit Jasraj.
The event is being jointly organised by Pandit Motiram Narayan Sangeet Vidyalay, Kerala, Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma Foundation and Kerala Tourism Department in association with the FTII.
