With films like "Dangal" and "Sultan", which depict culture of Haryana, garnering huge success at box office, Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda expressed joy that "dabang" (fearless) lifestyle of Haryana is reaching to people across the country through films.

A Haryanvi himself, Hooda, was part of wrestling drama "Sultan", released last year with Salman Khan as lead actor.

"The Haryanvi attitude is (being) dabang (fearless). People's attention is drawn towards it now (through the films). I am proud of being a Haryanvi and happy to be part of one of such films.

"I am happy that the sports culture, tough lifestyle and innocence of Haryana is reaching to people (from other states)," Hooda told reporters here.

The actor made the remarks during a briefing about a forthcoming spiritual fair being organised in Gurugram. Hooda was here to promote the fair.

Meanwhile, Hooda remained non-committal about campaigning for BJP in the forthcoming Assembly elections in five states, saying he has no such plan right now.

"My mother is a BJP member. My sister's father-in-law is also a member of the party. Our association with the party is quite old. I am not in the party right now. There is no plan to campaign for it right now," he told reporters when asked about speculation of him joining BJP.

Hooda made the remarks during a briefing about a spiritual fair being organised in Haryana's Gurugram between February 2 and February 5. The fair is being organised by Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair.

The fair will have thematic value-based programmes, including photography exhibitions and culture, and its organisers estimated that around four lakh people from the national capital region will participate in it.
