The relatives of 20-year old Dharini, one of the dead in the bus stand collapse in nearby Somanur, today refused to accept the cheque for Rs four lakh as solatium announced by chief minister.
Kanagaraj, representing Sulur Assembly constituency, along with some officials had visited the house of Dharini in Kombakadupudur to hand over the solatium, police said.
However, the relatives not only rejected the solatium but also gheroed the MLA and the officials and totally blamed the negligence of the Government for the mishap, they said.
