Two youth today allegedly thrashed a religious preacher sparking tension in Uttar area here, police said.
Superintendent of Police, Ajay Mohan Sharma, said that an FIR has been registered in the matter and those involved will be brought to book.
Protesting against the incident, people belonging to a community blocked traffic at Central crossing in the city.
Later, police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
