'Rio Rojo' wins main race of Hyderabad racing season

The curtains came down on the 37-day (including two extra days) Hyderabad Winter Racing season here today.

The highlight of the winter season was the running of the prestegious 'Indian Turf Invitation Cup' last week.

The concluding day feature event -- The 1600 M Escapde Plate - was won by odds on favourite 'Rio Rojo' (SurajN arredu has astride).

The winner Was trained by Prasad R. Trainer D Netto and jockey Christopher scored a double each.

Six favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
