Rs 1 lakh fine imposed on private hospital for negligence

Acting on a complaint filed by Komal Kathuria, the forum found Usha Sachdeva, Director of Sachdeva Hospital, guilty of medical negligence and deficiency in service and directed her to compensate Kathuria by paying Rs one lakh.

The Forum also directed the accused doctor to pay Rs 5,500 to the complainant for her litigation expenses.
