Security forces bust militant hideout in J-K

"In a major combing operation based on specific intelligence inputs, troops of 9 Rashtriya Rifles busted a terrorist hideout in Kainiyar forests," a defence spokesman said here.

One AK-56 rifle, a .22mm pistol, a country-made pistol, one under barrel grenade launcher, five Chinese grenades, sixteen AK-56 magazines and a large quantity of ammunition were recovered from the hideout, he said.

The recovery comes two days after the army busted a militant hideout in Dachigam forest reserve on the outskirts of the city.
