Thane District Rural Police today claimed to have busted a sex racket in Mira Road here and rescued a teenage girl from the locality before being pushed into prostitution.
According to Thane District Superintendent of Police, Mahesh Patil, the racket was busted last evening when a team of policemen raided a flat in Mira Road and apprehended three persons- a woman (50), her daughter (24) and a male pimp (30)- for their alleged involvement in the racket.
The trio was allegedly auctioning the 14-year-old girl's virginity for Rs 90,000, police said.
