Light to moderate rainfall continued for the second day today in various parts of Uttar Pradesh, bringing down the mercury level.
Faizabad recorded 12 mm rainfall, followed by Uttraula at 7 mm and Basti 4 mm.
Day temperature was below normal in Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Faizabad, Kanpur, Agra, Allahabad and Jhansi divisions.
The highest maximum temperature of 40.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Jhansi.
