A sub inspector of police and his wife were found dead at their residence in Bikhiwind village of Tarn Taran district today.
The bodies of SI Jaswant Singh and his wife Baljit Kaur were found lying in a pool of blood at their residence, police said.
The service revolver of the officer was missing, police said, adding that investigations were on and it was too early to say whether it was a murder or a suicide.
Jaswant Singh, who was posted as Sub Inspector in the CID wing of the Punjab police, was on leave for the last one month due to physical injury. Kaur worked in the Punjab Health Department. The couple is survived by two sons and daughter, police said.
