Six mobile phones seized from jail

Six ssmobile phones have been seized from the Kannur Central jail during a surprise check, officials said today.

Besides the mobile phones, two SIM cards, seven memory cards and 10 mobile batteries were also seized from the fifth block of the jail during the raid last night, they said.

The seized mobile phones and other materials have been handed over to police, they said.
