Small sugar prices dropped further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on subdued demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid ample supplies.
While, medium sugar prices ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) declined by Rs 22/9 per quintal to Rs 2,550/2,682 from tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,572/2,691.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,680/2,882 from overnight closing level of Rs 2,666/2,881.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,550/2,682 (Rs 2,572/2,691).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,680/2,882 (Rs 2,666/2,881).
