Small sugar surged at the Vashi wholesale market today on sustained demand stockists and bulk consumers.
While, medium sugar variety moving to subdued offtake from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) climbed by Rs 12 per quintal to Rs 3,102/3,222 per quintal from wenesday's closing level Rs 3,090/3,220.
However, Medium sugar (M-30) dropeed to Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,212/3,382 from Rs 3,212/3,382.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,212/3,382 (Rs 3,222/3,382).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,102/3,222 (Rs 3,090/3,222).
