With snowfall in hilly areas and rains in plains of Uttarakhand, minimum temperatures today dropped in the state.
According to MeT office, hilly areas, including Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Hemkund Sahib experienced heavy snowfall.
While areas in the plains are being lashed by rains continuously.
Rain has also been lashing capital Dehradun since morning.
The MeT office, in a forecast, yesterday said Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh areas might experience heavy rains and snowfall during the next 48 hours.
