Sugar prices fell by Rs 35 per quintal in the national capital today due to heavy ready stocks, following higher supplies from mills.
Besides, reduced offtake by bulk consumers and retailers too put pressure on sweetner prices.
Marketmen said besides huge ready stocks position in the market on persistent supplies from mills, reduced offtake by stockists following slackened demand from bulk consumers, largely attributed fall in prices.
