A teenager has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl at Edapadi in the district, police said.
The incident occurred when the toddler's parents, both daily wage labourers, were away at work yesterday.
The child was at home with her three-year-old sister when the 17-year-old boy sexually assaulted her, they said.
The girl told her parents of it when they returned, following which they filed a complaint and the boy was arrested, they said.
