Three arrested for trying to smuggle medicines to Lanka
Three persons, including two Sri Lankans, have been arrested at Vethalai near here for attempting to smuggle medicines worth about Rs 2.5 lakh to Sri Lanka, police said today.
Rajagopalan and Murugan, both hailing from Jaffna in Sri Lanka, and Mahesh had planned to smuggle the medicine by boat to Sri Lanka last night, police said.
