Three landmines recovered

landmines planted under a highway in Panapur police station area in Bihar's Saran district.

Acting on an information given by Maoist Rajesh alias Pawan Rai, who was arrested from Gujarat recently, police recovered the landmines planted under the Panapur-Mohammapur state highway.

The landmines were also defused, Superintendent of Police Sujeet Kumar said.

The landmines were planted to blow up police vehicles, he said.
