Three family members were killed and two others got injured in a road mishap, police said today.
The incident took place last evening when Om Prakash Sharma (65) along with his family was going back to Kanpur from Delhi. While returning back near Balharmau village, the driver lost control over the car and it first hit a heap of stone-chips and then dashed into a tree, police said.
Father, son Vikas (32) and his wife Pooja (28) died on the spot, while Om Prakash's wife Geeta (62) and their grandchild Om (8) were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, they said.
All the three bodies have been sent for postmortem, they said, adding further investigation is on.
