A local court today sentenced a man and his parents to life for setting ablaze his 19-year-old wife more than three years ago at their home in the district.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Jothiraman also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each on the three convicts.
According to police, 25-year-old Saravanan started suspecting his wife's fidelity after marriage. His parents started looking for another alliance and the three allegedly began torturing her.

Her father had lodged a complaint with police.
