Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM)today reported 1.29 per cent increase in total car sales at 12,547 units in August.
It had sold 12,386 units during the same month last year, the company said in a statement.
TKM exported 1,386 units of Etios series last month.
Commenting on the sales performance, TKM Director and Senior Vice-President N Raja said the growth can be partly attributed to the new Camry.
"With the upcoming festive season, we hope to see a further surge in growth and are hopeful that we would continue to delight our customers with our offerings," he added.
