Two persons were killed and as many received injuries today when a portion of an agricultural well at a village near here fell on them.
The incident took place around noon in Jagannathapur village, nearly 40 kms from here, under Elkathurthi police limits, when four labourers were engaged in removing slit inside a well and while excavation, suddenly side walls of the well collapsed, assistant sub-inspector A Raju said.
The two labourers who were killed were identified as Kasturi Raju (28) and Vallepu Mallaiah (48) while the injured as K Raju (27) and Ch Ramesh(25), the officer said.
The two injured persons were admitted to MGM Hospital in Warangal where their condition is reported to be critical.
Raju said the bodies of the deceased were lifted from the well and have beeb sent to Huzurabad Government Hospital here for post-mortem.
