Two teenagers were drowned today while they were taking a swim in Sonari river.
According to police officers, the two students were part of a summer trip to Sukdol riverine area organised by Gyandeep Academy of Morigaon.
"When the group reached their destination, seven students went for a swim in the river. Unfortunately, two of them were drowned due to strong current of the river," an officeer said.

A police team has launched a search operation to retrieve the bodies, but they were untraced so far.
The two students have been identified as Sagar Deka (15) and Mridupawan Barman (16), the police said.
