Two youths drown in canal in Haryana

Two youths allegedly drowned while taking bath in Sidhmukh canal near Khairampur-Kalirawan bridge here, police said today.

Kuldeep (24) and Praveen (19), both friends, went into canal to take bath yesterday but failed to return, they said.

A few persons, who were also taking bath in the same canal, tried to rescue them, but both friends could not be saved, police said.

Bodies of Kuldeep and Praveen were recovered and were sent to Agroha Medical College for post-mortem.

Both were residents of village Alakhpura here, police said.
