Two youths allegedly tried to abduct a 22-year-old woman as she protested against some lewd comments made by them at Railway Road in Civil Lines area here, police said today.
According to a complaint lodged by the woman, she had gone to a shop with her grandmother to buy forms for competitive exams, when the two youths - Sachin and Manoj - allegedly made some lewd comments, they said.
When she protested, the accused allegedly tried to abduct her but failed as she cried for help and fled the spot, police said.
Based on the woman's complaint, a case was lodged against the two absconding accused and hunt is on to nab them, they added.
