Una-Nanded weekly train flagged off

The weekly Nangal-Nanded Sahib Express Train, which has been extended to Una, was today flagged off.

Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur Anurag Thakur flagged off the inaugural run of the train from Una. The train has been extended to Una to provide easy access to the sizeable Sikh population that resides in Una of Himachal Pradesh and the adjoining Punjab to visit the holy Sikh shrine of Hazoor Sahib Nanded.

The train will run from Una once a week on every Thursday at 3:30 PM to reach Nanded at 11:45 AM on Friday.

From Nanded Sahib in Maharashtra, it will start on Saturday at 11 AM to reach Una on Sundary at 9 PM. The weekly train service would benefit people of the area as the train will pass through major destinations including Chandigarh, Ambala, Panipat, Delhi, Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Bhopal which fall enroute.
 

Senior railway officials, including the DRM, Ambala division, Anil Kumar and large numbers of local people were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, State BJP president Satpal Satti thanked Union Railway minister Mallikarjun Kharge and officials of the railway for extending the train to Una.
