Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today expressed grief at the death of veteran Congress leaderand former Lok Sabha Speaker Balram Jakhar.
In his condolence message, Rawat described Jakhar as an encyclopedia on matters related to parliamentary democracy.
"His contribution to public life, especially in the field of agriculture, will always be remembered," Rawat said.
Jakhar passed away at his residence in New Delhi today at the age of 92.
