Woman arrested for possessing cannabis in Haryana

A woman was arrested and over five kg cannabis was seized from her possession here, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided a 'jhuggi' in Kalandar colony in Ballabhgarh and arrested one Shannoand, a police spokesperson said, adding, 5.9 kg cannabis was found in her possession.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said.
