A 42-year-old woman was today
killed and another injured when a speeding tractor hit them while they were bathing at a public hand pump in Kero Ki Jhopdiya village here, police said.
The incident took place this afternoon under the Nainwa police station area when the deceased Natthubai Keer was washing clothes and bathing with her friend Ramdhanibai, SHO, Nainwa police station Subhash Punia said.
Ramdhanibai, 30, sustained minor injuries, the SHO said, adding, the body has been handed over to the family members after postmortem.
A case of negligent driving has been lodged against the absconding driver and efforts are on to nab him, he said.
