Woman kills self along with two daughters

A 24-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire along with her two minor daughters in Jhunjhunu district here, police said today.

Suman took the extreme step yesterday inside her house in Kali Pahadi area for reasons unknown, they said.

She poured kerosene on herself and her two daughters, 3-year-old Manisha and 6-month-old Chetna and set ablaze.

Her husband Ashok, a labourer, said that the room in which she committed suicide was bolted from inside and he broke open the door when he saw smoke, SHO Bagar Gopiram said.

The woman's relatives have alleged that it is case of murder, the SHO said.
 

Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide. However, reasons behind the suicide are not clear. The matter is being probed, the SHO added.
