Woman naxal dies in Maha police encounter

A woman ultra was killed in an encounter with the police in Gadchiroli district of east Maharashtra today.

The skirmish broke out in Pendhri camp area in the district this morning when a police team was patrolling the border area, an official release said.

During a heavy exchange of fire that ensued, a woman naxalite was killed, it said, adding that the identity of the slain Maoist could not be established immediately.
