Woman sentenced to life imprisonment for killing husband

The sentence was awarded yesterday by Special Devendra Singh Solanki to - Jyoti Yadav (32) - for setting her husband Dileep Yadav on fire over a dispute on March 22, 2011.

The victim later succumbed to his injuries, government advocate Manish Sakrikar told reporters.

The judgement was given on the basis of a dying declaration and evidence collected by police from the spot.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 500 on her.
